Label mayor kembali mewadahi kebebasan berekspresi para musisi indie tanah air. Beragam jenis musik berkontribusi dalam satu acara bertajuk L.A. Lights Indiefest FESTIVE SOUND, Sabtu 20 Maret 2010 di panggung Sasana budaya Ganesha, Bandung. Tidak seperti festival musik yang biasanya hanya terfokus dengan satu genre, Festive Sound menyajikan musik, pop, rock, metal, reggae, blues, folk dan campuran di antaranya.

Selain menghadirkan kesepuluh finalis, musisi-musisi dalam negeri dan dua band asal negeri tetangga pun ikut mewarnai festival musik ini, Pesawat dari Malaysia, serta Electrico dari Singapura.

The Alastair, Efek Rumah Kaca, Samsons, The Trees and The Wild, dan The Flowers kali ini mendapatkan kesempatan untuk menggebrak panggung kantor Rolling Stone (RS) yang terletak di Jl. Ampera Raya no 16.

Thousand thanks God, i feel so blessed this christmas. Abundant blessings pouring down my life and i feel such a lucky person. The best part was we could share the christmas blessings with the orphans. They’re smiling, laughing, n felt so in love. This is what we call the real chrismast gift. Keep put the joy on their blessed faces God n always fill their hearts with joy and mercy 🙂

I’m so proud Indonesia has International Film Festival called Jiffest, Jakarta International Film Festival. People & filmmakers from many countries come to Jakarta & share their films & also cultures. This year, Jiffest held their 11th festival.

[Dec 4th 2009] It’s the first day of the festival. Though the opening movie been started at 07.30 pm, i had to arrange JSDC (Jiffest Script Development Competition) from 9pm til 5pm with my team. Pembukaan Jiffest ke 11 adalah sebuah film Indonesia yang ditunggu banyak orang, mulai dari kritikus handal hingga penikmat awam. Setelah gemilang Laskar Pelangi membuat banyak orang tersentuh, Sang Pemimpi kini hadir menyusul kesuksesan kisah Ikal dan anak-anak Belitung. Buku kedua hasil buah pena Andrea Hirata (lagi-lagi) berhasil diterjemahkan dengan baik ke dalam bahasa audio visual oleh  Mira Lesmana, Riri Riza, dan Salman Aristo. Tapi jangan pernah berharap film akan persis sama dengan bukunya, hei ini konsumsi untuk layar lebar bung!

EndahNRhesa. Hari Minggu kemarin (29 November ’09), mereka baru saja membuat penonton terpukau dengan aksi panggung yang sangat merakyat. Endah dan Resa menjadi penutup stage B di perhelatan Jazz Goes To Campus (JGTC) ke 32 yang diadakan oleh BEM Fakultas Ekonomi Universitas Indonesia.

Meskipun sisa-sisa hujan masih membuat resah, penonton tetap antusias menantikan penampilan dua sejoli ini.

[12.30 pm] i just lost my friend. after seven days comma in hospital, he breathed his last on Sunday night 8pm. i hugged her mom and my tears were streaming down my face. i couldn’t explain well. it was such a weird feeling. i wasn’t that close to him, but before the accident, we talked many things. 3 days before the accident, we watched 2012. the nite before it happened, he promised that he would take me to the airport before looked for closing film of INAFFF.  it’s just too fast. things we had talked before might be not that important, but we laughed at all the secrets we shared. for the first time, i came to my friend’s funeral. i was trembling, i couldn’t Continue reading →

INAFFF (Indonesia International Fantastic Film Festival)  2009. Awalnya saya tidak tertarik untuk menyaksikan festival bergenre horror, thriller, sci-fi, fantasy, & anime. Kenapa? Nyali saya nol dan semakin menciut menjadi minus kalau sudah berurusan dengan genre yang satu ini. Tapi karena rasa penasaran terus menggerogoti, saya langsung mencari tiket untuk film openingnya. Thanks to Mas Dodi cos i saw the uncut version. And of course thanks to Sly, the festival director who made it happen this year.

Macabre/Darah/Rumah Dara. Kamu bisa menyebutnya dengan berbagai judul. Tapi yang pasti, ini benar-benar rumah darah! Kamu akan melihat darah di sepanjang film ini dan juga berbagai macam alat yang membuat tetesan darah bercucuran layaknya air.  Bagi yang belum pernah mendengarnya, wajar saja karena film ini justru beredar lebih dulu di berbagai festival film di luar negri.

Film hasil besutan The Mo Brothers (Kimo Stamboel dan Timo Tjahjanto) ini sebenarnya bukan film mereka yang pertama. Bagi yang sudah menonton DARA dalam film antologi horor “Takut: Faces of Fear”, tentunya film ini menjadi sajian yang kamu tunggu-tunggu.
